Up on Sathy Main Road in Ganapathy, things are always moving. We’re located in the S.A. Complex at N-23. It’s an engineering hub, so you can hear the sound of machines and metal from almost every building around us. At J. J. Engineering Corporation, we’re right in the middle of that noise. Our workshop has that smell of oil and metal shavings that never really goes away. We have a few lathes and some old machinery that we take care of like they’re part of the family. The office part is just a small corner with a desk and some old chairs where we talk to people who come by. It’s not fancy, and the floor usually has some grease stains, but it’s a working shop. We start early when the air is still a bit cool. Sathy Road gets really packed with traffic during the day, so we try to get our heavy deliveries done as soon as we open. It’s a tough job sometimes, working with heavy parts and making sure the dimensions are spot on. We don't use much fancy software; most of our planning is done on paper or just from experience. We’ve been in Ganapathy for years and know the other shop owners in the complex. We help each other out when someone’s short a tool or needs a hand with a heavy lift. It’s just how things are done here.
