Ever Green Seeds & Saplings

Ever Green Seeds & Saplings is located at 184, Alagesan Road, right near the Sai Baba Mission Post. It’s a green sort of place, as you might guess from the name. We always have some dirt under our fingernails and a few pots sitting around the entrance. The air around here smells a bit like damp earth and growing things, which is a lot better than smelling exhaust fumes all day. We spend most of our time out back or handling the bags of seeds. It’s not a clean, polished office environment. We have benches instead of fancy chairs, and the floor is usually a bit dusty from the potting soil. Working at Alagesan Road is nice because there are some big trees nearby that keep the sun off the roof in the middle of the day. We don't have a big marketing strategy. We just know our plants and our seeds, and we talk to people who come in looking for advice on their gardens. It’s a quiet way to make a living. We’ve been by the Sai Baba Mission Post for years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but we just keep doing what we’re doing. There are no corporate hierarchies here. We all just pitch in where it’s needed, whether that’s unloading a truck or answering the phone. It’s a simple business, and that’s exactly how we like it.
