Dhevanathan Rice Corporation

We are tucked away at 56, Sithapudur, right behind the Sabari Bakery. If you smell fresh bread and then smell raw rice, you are in the right place. Being behind the bakery means we have a bit of a hidden spot, but the locals know where to turn. Dhevanathan Rice Corporation has been operating from this building for years. It is a solid structure, though the paint is peeling a bit near the bottom. We mostly deal with bulk bags. The floor is concrete and always has a light dusting of rice flour on it. We do not have a receptionist or a waiting room. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us moving bags around or checking the inventory. It gets humid in the afternoons, so we keep the big side doors open for a breeze. The neighbors are good people. We sometimes trade a bit of rice for some snacks from the bakery when we are hungry. It is a quiet way to do business. We do not bother with big advertisements or anything like that. The name is on a small board out front, but most people just follow the directions to the back of the bakery. It is a family-run kind of thing, so there is always someone around to help out. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is not fancy, but it is ours.
