Defence Academy

We are based in Coimbatore, over in the Ganapathy area. The address is No A 11 Army House, which is in Voc Nagar. We are quite close to the police quarters, so it’s a fairly quiet and orderly neighborhood. The building is called Army House, which fits what we do here at the Defence Academy. It is not a huge facility, just a practical building where we spend our days. We have a small yard out front where we sometimes stand around and talk. Inside, it's mostly classrooms and a small office area. We have some training equipment scattered about. It’s a bit dusty because we are often moving things around. The rooms aren't very big, so it gets cozy when we have a full house. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. Most of our time is spent preparing materials or talking to the young folks who come in. We drink a lot of water because Coimbatore can get dry. The police quarters nearby mean we don't have many issues with noise or trouble. It is a solid, straightforward place. We don't bother with fancy rugs or expensive furniture. We just have what we need to do the job. It feels like home to us by now. We just show up and do our best every day until it is time to lock up.
