Bharat Flower Stall

Bharat Flower Stall is just a small place where we sell flowers. There isn’t a fancy street address with a lot of numbers, everyone around here just knows where the stall is. We get up very early, usually while it is still dark, to get the fresh blooms ready for the day. The smell of jasmine and roses is everywhere as soon as you get close. It’s a simple setup with buckets and wooden stands. Water drips on the floor, and there are leaves and stems scattered around by midday. That’s just part of working with flowers. We spend our time tying garlands or wrapping up bunches for people to take home for prayers or weddings. It’s a lot of work with your hands, and your fingers usually end up stained green or orange by the afternoon. We don’t have a big website or a corporate plan. We just buy flowers and sell them to the neighbors and people passing by. Sometimes the sun is too hot and we have to keep spraying everything with water so they don’t wilt. It’s a humble business. We’ve been standing in this same spot for years. You’ll see us there early in the morning, chatting with the tea seller next door and waiting for the first customers. It’s a messy, colorful, and busy way to spend the day, but we like it well enough to keep coming back.
