About Sri Saraswathi Shishu Mandir School – Education in Chittoor
You can find Sri Saraswathi Shishu Mandir School at 18-466, right in the 1st Cross of the Railway Colony in Tirupati. It is a quiet enough area most of the time, except when the trains go by nearby. The school has been part of this colony for quite some time. We follow a pretty set routine every day. The students arrive, we have the morning assembly, and then everyone heads into their classrooms. The building is simple, with concrete walls and tiled floors that we try to sweep every morning before the kids get in. Being in a railway colony, many of our students come from families who work nearby. We have a few trees in the courtyard that provide some shade for the children during their afternoon break. The staff here is not very large, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from teaching to checking the gate. It is not a place with air conditioning or high-tech gadgets; we mostly use books, chalk, and talk to the kids directly. Tirupati is a busy town, but inside our walls, it feels a bit more slow-paced. We deal with the usual stuff like power cuts or making sure the water tank is cleaned. Parents often drop by to check on how their children are doing, and we usually just talk to them right there in the hallway. It is a very local, down-to-earth kind of school that focuses on the basic daily learning.
