Sathya Sai Residential High School

Over in Madanapalle, Sathya Sai Residential High School sits on a decent bit of land. Being a residential school, things are a bit different here because the kids stay with us. That means the lights are on early in the morning and stay on until late into the evening. Our buildings in Madanapaly are simple brick and concrete. We have dormitories that are basic but kept as clean as possible with so many boys and girls running around. The dining hall is probably the busiest place on the grounds. You can usually smell whatever is cooking for lunch from the front gate before noon. We have a lot of rules about when students can go home or see their parents, which is just part of how things work in a place like this. The staff lives on-site too, so we are always around if something happens or if a student feels unwell. It is not a luxury setup by any means. We focus on the daily routine—study, eat, play, and sleep. The weather in this part of Chittoor district is usually okay, but we get some cold nights in the winter that require extra blankets. We do not spend money on big ads because word of mouth in Madanapalle is usually enough for us. It is a busy life looking after so many students twenty-four hours a day, but we are used to the rhythm now.
