Yummy Hommy

Our shop is on ms koil street in Royapuram, right across from the Indian Bank. It’s number 55/23. Chennai is hot most of the year, so we try to keep the place as comfortable as we can. We called it Yummy Hommy because we wanted it to feel like a house, not a big business. We make the food like we would for our own families. Royapuram is an old part of the city, and it has a lot of character. We’ve been here for a bit, seeing the street change over time. It gets noisy outside with the bikes and the bank customers, but we stay busy in the back. We don't use any big machines, just regular pans and stoves. It’s mostly just us working hard every morning to get things ready for the lunch crowd. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. We use whatever ingredients are fresh at the market nearby. It’s practical and honest. We aren't trying to be the most famous place in Chennai, just a reliable one for our neighbors. If you’re near the bank, you can't miss us. It’s a small space, but we make it work. Sometimes we run out of chairs, but people don't seem to mind too much. It is just a part of life here on the street.
