Weldol Engineering Co is located on Choolaimedu High Road. We are at number 113. If you have been to Choolaimedu, you know how packed and lively it is all the time. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. We have been here for a long time, watching the shops around us change while we stay the same. Engineering is what we do, mostly welding and fabrication work. It is hot, sweaty work, especially in the Chennai heat, but we are used to it by now. The shop is full of scrap metal and welding torches. It is not the kind of place you would wear a clean shirt to. We get all kinds of people walking in with broken parts or ideas for something they want built. We do not have a big corporate structure or fancy titles. It is just a few of us who know how to handle a torch. We take the jobs as they come, whether it is a small repair for a neighbor or a bigger project for a local contractor. Choolaimedu High Road is always noisy with buses and bikes, so we just add our own noise to the mix. We do not use any fancy sales talk. We just look at what needs fixing and tell you if we can do it. It is a simple way to live. We have seen many summers and monsoons in this spot. We often have people asking if we can weld something small like a gate hinge, and we usually say yes. We just keep the doors open and the machines running.
