Our workshop is over at 23 GNT Road in Erukun Cherry. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Shanmuga Theatre. You can usually hear the sound of machines or tools if you are standing outside. The road is always packed with vehicles since it's a main route. It’s quite a noisy spot to work in, but we have gotten used to it over the years. Inside the shop, there are various engineering parts scattered around and the smell of machine oil is pretty strong. We handle a lot of different service jobs for local machinery. It’s not the cleanest place in the world because of all the grease and metal scraps, but that’s just the nature of engineering. We have a few workbenches that have seen a lot of use. The lighting is okay, but we often use hand torches to see into the tight spots of a machine. People bring in things that are broken or need a bit of a tune-up. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come in, you just talk to whoever is not under a machine at that moment. The Shanmuga Theatre is a good landmark, so most people don't get lost finding us. It’s a straightforward business and we just focus on getting the repairs done so people can get back to their own work. We stay busy with the metal and the machines.
