Helio Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is based at 81 SP Tower on Valluvarkottam High Rd. We are up on the 2nd floor. The road outside is always packed with vehicles since it's a main thoroughfare. You can hear the constant hum of traffic while we’re sitting at our desks. Being on the second floor means we aren't too far up, but we still see the tops of the buses passing by. The office is full of drawings, technical manuals, and computer monitors that stay on for most of the day. It’s a practical space for engineering work. We don't spend much time decorating; it's more about having enough room for the gear we use. The lighting is a bit bright, but it helps when you’re looking at small details on the blueprints. Valluvarkottam is a busy part of the city, so there’s always somewhere to get a quick lunch, though we often just bring dabbas from home and eat together. We’ve been in SP Tower for a bit now and know the security guards and the people in the other offices quite well. It’s a straightforward environment. No one here wears suits unless they absolutely have to for a meeting. Most of us are just in regular clothes, focused on the projects we have in front of us. The work can be repetitive, checking figures and updating plans, but that is just how it goes in this line of business for us.
