Vishwaksena College Of Education Admin Office is tucked away at No 150, Jawaharlal Nehru Salai in Ekkaduthangal, Chennai. This part of the city is always moving, and being on such a major road means we are constantly surrounded by the sound of traffic and buses. The office is where all the paperwork happens for the college. It’s usually full of files, applications, and people coming in with questions about their exams or admissions. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief because Chennai - 600097 gets incredibly humid in the afternoons. Our desks are usually covered in forms and we spend a lot of our time on the phone or talking to students who stop by. It’s a very functional space, not designed for looks, but more for getting the administrative work done so the college can keep running. Sometimes the printer jams right when we are in a hurry, or the coffee runs out, and we just have to deal with it. We have a small bench for people to sit on while they wait, but it’s often crowded. People from all over the neighborhood know the building because of the sign out front. It’s a busy spot in Ekkaduthangal and we are just here doing the daily grind of keeping the records straight and making sure the students get their papers on time. We don't have many fancy decorations, just the essentials for a working office.
