If you ever find yourself stuck in traffic on Poonamalle High Road, you’ve likely looked over and seen Acs Medical College. We are tucked right into Velappanchavadi. It’s a noisy part of town, let’s be honest, with the horns honking and the buses constantly pulling up nearby. But inside the gates, it feels a lot different. We have these long corridors that stay surprisingly cool even when the sun is beating down on the asphalt outside. Most of the staff here have been around for a long time, so we know each other's names and how we take our coffee. It’s a big place, and it takes a lot of work to keep the dust off the shelves and the gardens looking halfway decent. We don’t really do anything flashy. It’s just a medical college where people study and work. You might see us standing near the gate waiting for a ride or just taking a breath of air. The bricks on the older buildings have faded a bit over the years, but they hold up well. We get a lot of people coming through from the city and the suburbs because we’re right on the main road. It’s convenient, even if the traffic is a headache. We’re just a bunch of regular people doing our jobs in Velappanchavadi, keeping things moving along as best we can every single day.
