Arcot Road is always a bit of a nightmare with the traffic, but we are right there at number 271 in Virugambakkam. You can't miss the shop if you are driving slow enough. We have been here for years, selling surgical supplies to whoever walks through the door. The shelves are packed with everything from small bandages to larger equipment. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand. You never know what someone might need urgently. The floor is old stone, and the lighting is just those basic tubes that hum a little bit. We don't have a website that looks like a magazine; we just have our counter and our ledger. People from the local clinics come by often, and we know most of them by name. It is a busy shop, and sometimes we are all talking at once trying to find a specific item for a customer. The back room is where we keep the bulkier stuff, and it's always a bit of a mess back there. We keep the doors open most of the day to let some air in, though it brings in the road noise too. It’s a real, working shop for people who need medical gear without any fuss. We just keep our heads down and serve the next person in line.
