Vignesh Engineers

My name is Vignesh and this is Vignesh Engineers over on Pallavan Street. We are tucked away in Pandyan Nagar, which is part of Thoraipakkam. The shop is at number 2/557. It’s not the biggest place, but we fit everything we need inside. I’ve lived around here most of my life, so setting up the business in this neighborhood felt right. We do a lot of small-scale engineering work for local clients. There’s a lot of dust because of the road work nearby, but we keep the machines clean enough to run. Usually, the day starts with a cup of tea and looking at what needs finishing from yesterday. We have a few steady regulars who come to us for their metal parts. It’s quiet on the street sometimes, then suddenly a bunch of orders come in at once. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. It’s just us and the tools. My cousin helps out when we get busy. We spend a lot of time fixing things that other people thought were broken for good. The shop smells like grease and old metal, which is how it should be. Thoraipakkam has grown a lot, but our little corner on Pallavan Street stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and work. It is a long day usually, but we don't mind the hours as long as the work is steady.
