Vels College Of Science

People usually find us here in Velan Nagar without too much trouble, though the traffic on P V Vaithyalingam Road gets pretty bad during the morning hours. Pallavaram is a busy place and it feels like there is always something going on just outside our gates. Vels College Of Science has been sitting here for a while now. We spend most of our days dealing with the usual college stuff, like keeping the classrooms tidy and making sure the water coolers are working. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so everyone tries to find a bit of shade under the few trees we have on the grounds. The staff usually brings lunch from home and we sit together when things aren't too hectic. It is not fancy here, just a lot of desks, some lab equipment, and a lot of students trying to get to their classes on time. Sometimes the noise from the main road makes it hard to hear, but you get used to it after a week or two. We just focus on what needs to be done each day. Some of the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but the place serves its purpose. We see people from all over the neighborhood coming through. It is just a regular part of life in this part of town. We open up early and stay until the last bus leaves. That is how things go here for us every day.
