Sai Engineering Technology

You can find Sai Engineering Technology over in the Sri Ganapathy Nagar Colony at Vandalur. We are on Plot No. 25 and 26. It’s a decent-sized space compared to some of the other places we’ve seen. Vandalur is a busy area, especially with the traffic going towards the main roads. We spend our days working on different engineering projects. It’s a lot of measuring and cutting and checking things twice. The guys who work here have been with me for a few years now, so we have a good rhythm going. We don't really have a big sign out front, just the plot numbers and the company name on the gate. People usually find us because they were told to come here by someone else. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to order materials or check a drawing. Most of the time we are out on the shop floor. The weather in Vandalur can get quite sticky, so we have a couple of big fans running all day to keep the air moving. It’s not a quiet job, there’s always some machine humming or someone calling out. We take our lunch together under the shade of the tree near the back fence. It’s a straightforward life. We do the work that comes in, try to be helpful to anyone who asks, and then we head home when the sun goes down. It’s a solid way to spend the day.
