We are over in Ashok Nagar at D-3, LIG Flats on 7th Avenue. It’s a residential-feeling area in Chennai, which makes it a nice place to come to work every day. Being in an LIG flat means our office feels more like a home than a corporate headquarters. We’ve got our desks set up in the main rooms and the kitchen is where we keep all the project files. It’s a bit unusual, but it works for us. The 600083 area is quite convenient for getting around the rest of the city. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at site visits, so having a comfortable base is important. There are some trees outside that give a bit of shade in the afternoons. We aren't big on formalities here. Most of the time we’re in short sleeves because of the Chennai heat. We handle the local engineering and construction details for this region. It’s a lot of technical work, but we try to keep the atmosphere light. The neighbors are used to seeing us coming and going with our rolls of drawings. We’ve been here at 7th Avenue for a good stretch now. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business. We just do the work that’s assigned to us and try to keep everything in order without overcomplicating things. Sometimes we stay late to finish a report, but we usually head out before it gets too dark.
