V B M Caterers is located at No 14 3Rd Cross Street in Astalakshmi Nagar. We are tucked away behind St Johns School in the Porur area of Chennai, postcode 600116. It is a bit of a quiet street compared to the main roads, which is nice for us when we are packing up the vans. We spend a lot of our time in the kitchen preparing large batches of food for different events. It is a lot of chopping and stirring, usually starting very early in the morning when it is still dark out. Being behind the school means we hear the kids during the day, which gives the place some life. We aren't a big corporate company; we are just a local catering team that works out of this spot in Porur. Our day depends on what orders we have, so some days are much crazier than others. We have been in Astalakshmi Nagar for a while now and we like the neighborhood. The 3Rd Cross Street is where we do all the hard work. We don't have a storefront where you sit and eat, since we mostly just cook and deliver to wherever the party is. It is a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the containers are sealed right. We just try to do an honest job and get the food where it needs to go on time. That is how we spend our days at number 14.
