We’ve got our office at 1009 PH Road in Arumbakkam. It’s a busy stretch of road and there’s always something going on outside, like the street vendors and the constant traffic. United Shipping Services is the name on the door, but to us, it’s just where we come to work every morning. We handle shipping, so we’re always dealing with schedules and cargo manifests. The office is a bit old-fashioned; we still have some old filing cabinets that have been here since we started. It’s not one of those modern glass offices you see in the city center. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in, and the sound of the traffic outside is constant. We spend our time coordinating with the ports and making sure the containers are loaded right. Some days are slow, but most of the time we’re rushing to beat a deadline or find a missing box. We’ve got a few people who have been here for over ten years, so they know all the regulars who drop by. We don’t really do any big marketing or anything like that. People just know where we are and what we do. It’s a simple setup, and we prefer it that way. We just keep our heads down, handle the paperwork, and make sure the ships get what they need. It’s a long day, but we get it done.
