We are located on the 5th floor of No 261/127, right on Angappa Naicken Street in the Parrys area. If you know Parrys, you know it's a crowded place with narrow streets and a lot of history. Being opposite the High Road means there is always a lot of movement outside our windows, mostly people rushing around. Our daily life involves a lot of coordination between ships and the port authorities. The office isn't anything special to look at, just plenty of filing cabinets and people on their headsets. We’ve been working out of this building for quite some time, and the elevator can be a bit slow on Monday mornings. Most of our work is behind the scenes, making sure cargo gets loaded and unloaded where it needs to be. It’s a lot of data entry and checking schedules against the tide and weather. We have a small team, and we’ve all been doing this for years, so we don't need to explain much to each other. Sometimes the heat in Parrys gets to be a bit much, but the fans keep us going through the afternoon. We deal with agents and port authorities all day long. It can be stressful when a ship is delayed, but that’s just the nature of the shipping business. We aren't here to make things sound better than they are; it's just hard work and keeping track of containers across the ocean. We get the job done.
