Tool & Machine Tool Engineers

Our shop is at 10/4 on the Third Main Road in Ambattur Industrial Estate. It’s a classic industrial spot in Chennai. Tool & Machine Tool Engineers is a name that pretty much tells you what we do. We spend our days around lathes and milling machines. It’s not a quiet job. There is always the sound of metal being worked on. The office is just a small corner partitioned off from the main area. It’s usually dusty and there are blueprints everywhere. We aren’t trying to look like a high-tech startup. We are just engineers who know how to handle tools. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go in Ambattur, but we’ve managed to stick around by just being practical. We don’t have a big team, just a few skilled people who actually care about the finish on a part. Sometimes we have to redo things because they aren't quite right. We don't hide that. It's just part of the process. We drink a lot of coffee and try to get the orders out the door. No one here wears a suit. It’s all about getting your hands dirty and solving problems. If you need something specific made, we usually figure out a way to do it. The heat in the shed gets to you sometimes, but we carry on. It's a noisy life but it's ours.
