Sairam Dental Equipments

Our workshop and office are located at No. 2 Sri Devi Karumariamman Street. It’s a quiet enough street, and our building is just a regular house that we’ve converted for our needs. We deal with dental equipment, so you’ll often see large wooden crates sitting out front waiting to be picked up. Inside, it’s a bit of a mess sometimes with tools, spare parts, and machines in various states of being repaired. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have a couple of sturdy workbenches and a lot of grease rags. My brother and I have been doing this for a long time. We don't have any formal titles; we just do whatever needs to get done that day. Sometimes that means spending hours trying to figure out why a motor isn't running right. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to answer the phones professionally. Usually, if the phone rings, one of us will wipe our hands on a cloth and pick it up. The neighbors are mostly families, and they’ve known us for years. During the monsoon, the street can get a bit flooded, so we have to move some of the equipment to higher shelves just in case. It’s a practical way to live and work. We don't make any big promises; we just try to fix what’s broken and get the orders out on time. It’s hard work, but we like being our own bosses here on Sri Devi Karumariamman Street.
