The Optimus Public School

The Optimus Public School is located on Bhavani Main Road in Periapuliyur, near Sevagoundanur. Erode is a busy district and our location on the main road means we see a lot of activity throughout the day. The school itself is a sturdy building with several floors. We don't have a lot of fancy landscaping, just some potted plants near the entrance and a dusty field for the kids to play in. The wind blows quite a bit here, so we are always sweeping out the classrooms. Inside, things are pretty functional. We have desks that have been used by many students over the years. Our teachers are regular people who care about their subjects. They don't use a lot of complicated jargon when they talk to parents. We just tell it like it is. If a kid is struggling, we say so. We don't have any big corporate backers, so we have to be careful with our budget. This means we fix things ourselves when they break. The office is usually a bit messy with stacks of papers and old registers. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find us busy with some task or another. It’s a working school, and we just try to keep things moving forward one day at a time without any drama.
