The Chennai Academy

The Chennai Academy is tucked away at New No 25, Munuadhi Illam, on Mudichur Road in Patel Nagar. We are situated right behind the Hindu Mission Hospital. If you are coming from Tambaram West, you just have to look for that hospital landmark. Our building is more of a house style than a cold office block. It has that lived-in feel to it. There’s a small gate and some space for a couple of bikes to park. Inside, it’s mostly quiet, except for the occasional ambulance siren from the hospital next door. We have rooms set up for our daily tasks. It’s not a huge place, but we make use of every corner we have. Sometimes the cats from the neighborhood wander into the yard looking for food. We don't have any big signs or neon lights. It’s just a plain nameplate on the gate. The rooms are a bit small, and the ceiling fans make a clicking sound sometimes when they're on high, but we are used to it. Working near the hospital means the area is always busy, but our specific street in Patel Nagar stays somewhat calm during the day. We do our work, talk to the people who come in, and keep things moving. It’s just a regular daily routine for us here. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay each day. It's a modest place with a lot of history.
