Thandapani

My name is Thandapani and I operate out of the Pantheon Plaza in Egmore. If you head up to the second floor, that’s where you’ll find me. Chennai can be a really hot and humid place, so being inside this building helps quite a bit. I’ve been doing this for a while now, mostly just handling the daily grind and making sure things are moving along. It’s not the biggest space in the world, but it fits what I need to do. I don't really see the point in using all that fancy business jargon that doesn't mean much to the average person. I prefer to just speak plainly. I grew up around here, so Egmore feels like home to me. The plaza gets its fair share of people coming and going, which keeps things interesting. Sometimes I grab a coffee downstairs when things get too quiet. I’ve had my ups and downs like anyone else starting something on their own. There are days when the phone won't stop ringing and days when it’s totally silent. I just take it as it comes. My desk is usually covered in files, and I’m always looking for my favorite pen. It’s a real, working office, not a showroom. I think people appreciate that I’m just a regular person trying to do a decent job for the community here in Chennai. It’s a busy life, but it’s mine and I am glad to be doing it.
