Teak N Oak

Our place is at No 29/1 on the Taramani Link Road in Velacheri. We are situated right next to the Vasanth Super Market, which makes us pretty easy to spot if you are doing your shopping nearby. At Teak N Oak, we spend our days surrounded by different kinds of furniture and wood pieces. It’s a busy road outside, so there’s always the sound of traffic and people moving about. Inside, it’s a bit more relaxed, but we still have plenty of work to do. We spend a lot of time moving heavy items around and making sure everything is displayed so people can see what we have. It’s a hands-on kind of business. We don’t wear suits here; we wear clothes that we don't mind getting a bit of dust on. Velacheri is a great neighborhood, and being on the link road means we see a lot of people passing through. We have a small team, and we all pitch in with everything, from unloading trucks to helping someone find a specific chair or table. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We just talk to people like normal and try to be helpful. The space is filled with the smell of treated wood and polish. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and we like the rhythm of the day here, even when it gets a bit chaotic with deliveries.
