Our office is at 32, Meeran Sahib Street, just off Mount Road. It is an old part of the city, and the building has seen better days, but it is home to us. We deal with industrial materials and supplies. It is the kind of stuff that goes into factories and small workshops around the state. The street outside is narrow and usually blocked with parked bikes and delivery vans. Inside, it is a bit of a maze with all the files and boxes stacked up against the walls. We are not a big company with a fancy lobby or a receptionist at the front. Usually, one of us hears the door and comes out to see what is needed. We have been here long enough that we know all the sounds of the street. We do a lot of business over the phone these days, but some of our old clients still like to stop by for a chat and a cup of tea. We do not spend money on fancy furniture for our own office. Our desks are made of old wood, and the chairs might squeak a bit when you sit down. We care more about getting the orders right than having a polished office space. It is just a practical way to run things. The heat can be tough in this part of town, so we keep the fans going all day long. We just keep moving.
