Tamilnadu Driving School

Tamilnadu Driving School has its office at No 1, Gandhi Street in Alwarthirunagar. We are right near Meha Mart, which is a big landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. The school started because we saw how many people in this part of Chennai wanted to learn to drive but were too scared of the traffic. Gandhi Street is a bit narrower than the main road, so it is actually a good place for beginners to start their first few lessons before we take them out into the bigger junctions. We use a couple of small hatchbacks that are easy for learners to control. The office itself is quite small, just enough room for a table, some chairs, and all the permit folders we have to keep. We spend a lot of time talking to nervous students and explaining how the clutch works for the hundredth time. It is satisfying when someone finally gets their license after weeks of practice. We do not do anything fancy with technology; it is mostly just sitting in the car and showing people the ropes. The area around Meha Mart has become very busy lately, so there's always something happening outside the window. We just keep doing our thing, helping one neighbor at a time get behind the wheel safely without making a big deal out of it. It is just basic teaching for regular people who need to get around.
