Arul Murugan Heavy Driving School is based in Kovur. You can find us at number 71 on Kundrathor Main Road. Unlike some other places that only do small cars, we focus on the heavy stuff too. Driving a lorry or a bus is a completely different thing than a car. It takes a lot more patience and a better understanding of how much space you have on the road. Chennai traffic is tough, and out here in Kovur, the roads can get pretty tight with all the commercial vehicles. We have been doing this for a while now. Most of our students are men looking to get their commercial licenses so they can find work. It is serious business because you're handling a lot of weight. We spend a lot of time on the ground explaining the mechanics and the safety rules. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It's just a place to keep the files and meet up before we head out to the practice ground. The instructors here have been driving for years. They have seen everything on the road. We don't use fancy talk. We just show you how to shift the gears and check your mirrors properly. It’s practical work. People come to us because they need a license to earn a living, and we help them get through the process. That is the main thing we do every day.
