Being up on the 7th floor of Jhaver Plaza gives us a decent view of the chaos on Nungambakkam High Road, though we don't spend much time looking out the windows. T I L Ltd is mostly about the office side of things. It’s a lot of phones ringing and stacks of papers that need to be filed. The air conditioning usually hums in the background, which is a relief from the humidity outside. We have a small pantry where someone is always making coffee or tea. This part of Chennai is always moving, and we feel that energy even up here. Parking is a nightmare, so most of us take the bus or get dropped off near the building. The office feels a bit old-fashioned, with heavy desks and cabinets full of records from years ago. We deal with a lot of coordination and logistics from this desk. It’s not the kind of place with fancy modern furniture or open floor plans. It’s just rooms filled with people working on computers and talking to clients. By the time five o'clock rolls around, the traffic downstairs is at its worst, so some of us stay late just to avoid the crawl back to Tambaram. It’s a steady kind of life, working in the heart of the city and keeping the business running day after day without much drama or change to the routine.
