Bharath Liftings Shop

Our shop is at No. 30 B. It’s a small place, and we don’t have a big fancy name on a glowing board. Bharath Liftings Shop is basically just what the name says. We deal with heavy things, so the floor is usually a bit stained with oil and there’s metal bits here and there. It’s a working shop, not a gallery. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in old clothes because you can’t really keep clean doing this kind of work. The address is short, and so is our way of doing things. We don’t talk much unless it’s about the job at hand. It can get pretty loud when we’re moving equipment around. The neighborhood is mostly other small shops and workshops like ours. We all know each other. Sometimes a neighbor will borrow a wrench, or we’ll go over to ask for a hand with something heavy. There’s no corporate hierarchy here. It’s just us. We open early when the air is still a bit cool. By midday, it’s roasting inside, but we just keep at it. We don’t have a website or any of that stuff. People usually just find us by word of mouth or by walking past No. 30 B. It’s a simple way to run a business. We’ve been doing this for years and the routine hasn't changed much. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down.
