Our office for Sulekha.Com Media Pvt Ltd is located down in Chennai, specifically in Egmore. We are at 9/10, Sait Colony, which is actually right near the Abhirami Working Women’s Hostel. It’s a busy little pocket of the city. You can hear the sounds of the street all day long, from the scooters zooming by to the occasional street vendor calling out. The building we are in has a lot of character and it has been our home base for quite some time. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and see the desks and the people working on their computers. It can get a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. Chennai weather is always a factor, so we have the fans going pretty much constantly to keep things comfortable. Most of us have been around for a long time, so the office feels more like a second home than just a place of work. We handle all the media stuff right from these desks. There is always someone brewing coffee or talking about the latest news in the break area. It’s a very local vibe, nothing like those giant tech parks you see on the outskirts. We just stay here in Egmore and keep moving forward with whatever the day brings us.
