We are located over on Dr Besent Road in Royapettah. The office address is 119/1, and it is a place where we spend most of our hours either on the phone or scribbling things down on calendars. Planning for different gatherings and things is mostly about keeping track of a whole lot of small details so nothing falls through the cracks at the last minute. It’s not really a polished or fancy job like some people might imagine. Usually, it is just a couple of us sitting around a desk with too many cups of cold tea, trying to figure out how to fit everything into a certain space or budget. Royapettah is a really crowded part of Chennai, so getting equipment in and out can be a real struggle with the traffic and the narrow lanes. We have learned most of the shortcuts around the neighborhood over the years. The building itself is older, but it serves us well enough for what we need to do. We handle things for all sorts of local events, mostly making sure there are enough chairs and that the lights work when someone flips the switch. Some nights we are here late because that is just when the work needs to happen. There is always someone dropping by to ask about a date or a price. We just tell them what is possible and what isn’t without any big sales pitch or glossy brochures.
