Sudharsanam Vidyaashram

Sudharsanam Vidyaashram is tucked away near SA Engineering College on the Poonamalee Avadi Main Road. Being in Thiruverkadu, we are a bit away from the main city buzz of Chennai, but the road outside is always busy with trucks and buses. The school itself feels quite grounded. It sits in Veerarava Puram and has a lot of space for the kids to move around. We have these long corridors that stay cool even when it is blazing hot outside. The classrooms are filled with the usual stuff like wooden benches that have seen a few years of use and charts that the students made themselves. It’s a real place, not a showroom. You can see the wear and tear on the walls because kids are active and they live their days here. The teachers are mostly from nearby areas. They speak the same language as the parents and understand the local life. We don’t have a lot of fancy tech gadgets in every corner, but we have enough to get the lessons across clearly. The morning assembly is a simple affair where everyone stands in lines under the sun for a bit before heading in. It is a place where you work hard. We don’t make big promises. We just open the gates every day and make sure the teachers are in their rooms and the students have their books open. It’s a plain, honest way to run things for the community here.
