Subrahmanyam Traders

If you are looking for us, we are at 44/1 on Sri Parthasarathi Road. It is one of those streets that has its own rhythm. Subrahmanyam Traders has been operating out of this small space for some time. It is not a huge warehouse or a shiny corporate office, just a regular place where we keep our stock and talk to the people who drop by. The door is usually open unless the weather is really bad. We spend a lot of time just organizing the shelves and checking the lists. Sometimes the neighbor's dog sits out front, and we have to move him to get the crates in. Sri Parthasarathi Road can be quite narrow when two cars try to pass each other, so we’ve learned to be quick with loading and unloading. We don’t spend much on decorations or fancy signs. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the current one reminds us of how many years we’ve been here. Inside, it smells like old paper and whatever we happen to be trading that week. It's a simple life, really. We open up early, drink some tea, and get to work. Most of our day is just talking to people on the phone or writing down notes in the ledger. We prefer it this way. It feels more real to be right here on the ground, dealing with things face to face without any big fuss or complicated systems.
