Subha Signs

Subha Signs is tucked away at No. 7/8 on 23rd Street in Jai Nagar, Arumbakkam. It’s a bit of a quieter street compared to the main roads in Chennai, but we still stay fairly busy with the work that comes in. The shop is a simple ground-floor space where we handle all our sign production. We’ve been here in Jai Nagar for some time, and we’ve gotten to know the other business owners on the street. Our workspace is usually a bit of a mess with scraps of vinyl and metal frames, but that’s just the nature of making signs. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to answer the phones with a script. If you call, you just get one of us who is probably in the middle of a job. We spend a lot of time measuring, cutting, and sticking letters onto various backgrounds. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it needs to be done carefully. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside or install things, so we have to adjust our schedule. We don't have any grand statements to make about what we do. It’s just a sign shop where we try to do a decent job for a fair price. Most of our customers are from the local area or nearby neighborhoods who just need something simple for their shops or offices. We show up, do the work, and close up when we’re done for the day, heading home like everyone else in Arumbakkam.
