Sri Textile Creators

Our place, Sri Textile Creators, is tucked away at 6/146 on 9th Street in Abirami Nagar. Maduravoyal is the general area, and it’s more of a quiet, tucked-back spot compared to the main roads. We like it this way because there isn’t as much noise from the heavy vehicles. The building we’re in is pretty standard for a residential-style neighborhood that’s turned a bit commercial. We have our work area set up on the ground floor mostly. Sometimes the neighbor’s kids are playing out on the street right near our entrance, and you can hear them laughing while we’re trying to count stock. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the address number on the gate. The rooms inside are a bit small, so we have to be careful about how we stack things so we don't run out of walking space. We’ve got a couple of old wooden tables that have seen better days, but they’re sturdy enough for what we do. 9th Street isn't very wide, so if a truck comes to drop something off, the whole road pretty much stops for a few minutes. We usually just step outside and chat with the driver while they unload. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we’ve gotten used to the pace of life here in Abirami Nagar over the years.
