St Mary'S Engineering Works

St Mary'S Engineering Works is situated at No.14 on R.M.S Street in Nagalkeni. This part of Chrompet is known for its industrial roots, and we’ve been part of that landscape for a long time. The workshop is usually covered in a thin layer of metal dust and oil, which is pretty much expected in our line of work. We have several old machines that have been with us since the beginning, and they still run better than some of the newer stuff. We spend our days cutting, grinding, and welding various parts for people who come in from all over the area. It’s physically demanding work, and by the end of the day, our hands are usually stained black from the grease and metal filings. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just walk onto the shop floor. The noise can be quite loud when we are in the middle of a big job, but we’re used to it. R.M.S Street is a narrow one, so getting materials in and out can be a bit of a puzzle sometimes. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything we make is solid. It’s a simple operation run by people who know their tools and their materials. There’s no marketing fluff here, just the sound of metal hitting metal and the smell of the welding torch. That's pretty much it.
