Srutis Pharmaceutical Distributors

Srutis Pharmaceutical Distributors is situated at No 273 Sydenhams Road. We are on the first floor, so there are some stairs to climb every time a shipment arrives. Choolai is a busy part of Chennai, and we are right by the Nehru Timber Market. You can often smell the cut wood in the air, which is actually quite nice compared to the usual city smells. The building is older, so the rooms have high ceilings but they can get a bit dark on cloudy days. We have been working out of this space for a while now. It’s not a very modern setup, just desks and lots of metal shelving for the medicine boxes. Because we are near the timber market, there are always big trucks moving around the streets, making it a bit tricky to park sometimes. We just deal with it. The first floor gets a little breeze if we leave the windows open, but mostly it's just humid. We spend our mornings checking the new arrivals and our afternoons getting everything packed up for the local chemists. It is a lot of manual work, lifting and moving things around. We don't have any fancy elevators or anything like that. It’s just us and the stairs. It’s a decent place to work though, and we know the other business owners on Sydenhams Road pretty well by now. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
