We are located on the first floor in Thangavel Nagar, right on the Walajabad Main Road in Mannivakkam. Being on the first floor is nice because we are a bit removed from the dust of the main road, but we can still see all the traffic passing by through the windows. At Metz Lab Pvt. Ltd., things are a bit more organized than your average shop, but it’s still a working space. We have a lot of glass equipment, some machines that hum all day, and those bright fluorescent lights that make everything look very sharp. I spend a lot of my time writing down numbers in notebooks or staring at samples. The Mannivakkam area is growing fast, so there’s always construction noise nearby. Our lab isn’t some giant facility you’d see in a movie; it’s just a couple of rooms where we do our testing and research. We keep everything as clean as we can, but with people coming in and out from Thangavel Nagar, it’s a constant battle with the outside dust. I usually have my lunch at the small desk near the back window where it’s a bit quieter. It’s quiet enough for us to focus on the details, which is important when you're dealing with chemicals and measurements. We don’t have a lot of visitors, mostly just people dropping off materials or picking up results. It’s a steady, quiet kind of life here on Walajabad Main Road.
