Ishwarya Traders

Ishwarya Traders is based at 192/42 on Vannier Street in the Padi area. If you’ve ever been to Padi, you know that Vannier Street is almost always packed with people and small shops. Our place is squeezed in among all the others. It’s a small space, and we have to stack our goods nearly to the ceiling to make everything fit. We’ve been here for a long time, and the shop feels like a second home to us. It’s usually pretty warm inside because we only have a couple of fans and the street outside is always bustling. We trade in various items that people in the neighborhood need for their daily lives. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. Most of our customers are just people walking by or neighbors who have been buying from us for years. We keep a ledger on the counter and write everything down by hand. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it’s how we’ve always done it. Sometimes the street gets so crowded that deliveries can't get to our door, so we have to carry boxes from the main road. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we don't mind. We aren't trying to build an empire or anything like that. We are just happy to keep the shop open and see the familiar faces of Padi every day.
