Sri Swathy Catering

Sri Swathy Catering is over on Periyar Street in Nanganallur. We've been in this spot for a while, even when the house numbers changed from 36 to 8. It’s a neighborhood place. Most of our work comes from families living right here in the 600061 area. We handle the cooking for all sorts of occasions, from small pujas at home to larger gatherings. It is a family-run thing, so you will usually see the same faces every time you call us. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most people just find us through word of mouth from their neighbors. The kitchen is always busy with something boiling or being chopped. We stick to traditional ways of cooking because that’s what we know. It’s hard work, especially in the Chennai heat, but we are used to it by now. We try to be honest about what we can do and what we can't. If the schedule is full, we say so. When we take an order, we make sure the food is prepared properly and sent out. It’s not about being the biggest catering company, just about doing a decent job for the people who trust us with their meals. We know that when a family hosts an event, the food is the main thing they worry about, so we just try to take that worry away by showing up and doing what we promised we would. We might get a little tired but seeing clean plates makes it worth it.
