Sri Surya Engineering

Sri Surya Engineering is over at 89 Muthurangam Road in West Tambaram. Being in West Tambaram means we deal with a lot of traffic and people all the time. Muthurangam Road is always moving with buses and cars, so there is a constant hum of engines outside our front door. Our shop is just a regular building on the busy street. We have been here long enough that the paint is starting to peel a bit in the corners, but the place serves its purpose well. Inside, it is mostly iron and steel and the smell of cutting oil. We don't have a lot of space for customers to sit and wait, so they usually just stand around and talk to us while we are working. It is a very hands-on kind of environment every day. We get a lot of dust from the road traffic, so we try to wipe things down when we can find a moment. Most of our days are spent at the benches or working with the manual tools. We don't follow a strict corporate schedule; we just start when we get in and finish when the work is done for the day. Sometimes we stay late if there is something urgent, and other times we might close a bit early if it is very quiet. It is just a local business trying to keep up with the demands of the neighborhood. We know many of the other shop owners on Muthurangam Road and sometimes swap stories while drinking hot tea.
