Our school is tucked away at No 10 on Gandhi Street, right off Nemilicherry High Road in Chromepet. If you’re familiar with this part of Chennai, you probably know the area quite well. It’s a regular school building where we spend our days teaching and looking after the students. We’ve got a mix of ages here, so the energy levels change depending on which hallway you’re in. It’s a simple setup with classrooms that have seen a lot of use over the years. We aren't trying to be a fancy international school; we just provide a place for kids to learn their lessons. Every morning starts with the usual assembly, and then it’s straight into the books for the rest of the day. The teachers here are just regular people who live nearby and care about the work they do. We deal with the usual school problems like broken chalk or a leaky tap now and then. It’s all part of the daily grind for us. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. People mostly find out about us from their neighbors or friends. We just keep doing what we’ve been doing, year after year, in this little corner of Chromepet. It’s a steady, quiet sort of place for the most part, and we like the community feel. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks of running a school for the families living around here.
