Sri Sankara Coaching Centre

We are located in the heart of Mylapore at No 14 Dev Apartments. Our place is on the first floor on Chitrakulam West Street. If you are familiar with the area, we are very close to the Kapali-Karpagambal Temple. You can often hear the temple bells from our rooms. It’s a very traditional part of Chennai, and we like being here. The building is an older apartment block. There is no lift, so you have to walk up the one flight of stairs to get to us. The rooms are a bit small and the hallways are narrow. We have desks squeezed in wherever they fit. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the books and papers we have lying around. We’ve been at this for many years. We don't have any flashy signs or a big marketing budget. Most of our students come because their siblings or cousins came here before them. It is a family-run kind of feeling. We make our own tea in the little kitchen area. Sometimes the smell of incense from the street comes inside. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real place. We don't try to look like a corporate office because we aren't one. We are just a local coaching centre in an old neighborhood. We stay busy from morning until late at night. It’s just what we do and we have gotten used to it.
