Sri Sakthi Engineering Works

Our shop is right on the 200 Feet Road in Kilkattalai. It is a busy spot and the traffic never really seems to stop. We have been here for a while now, just doing our daily work in this part of Zameen Pallavaram. The morning starts with opening the heavy shutters and letting the light into the workspace. It is an engineering shop, so things are never really clean for long. There is always a layer of dust from the road and the smell of cut metal and grease. We spend most of our time standing at the benches or working with the machines. It gets quite loud in here when everything is running, but we are used to it by now. People from the neighborhood often stop by just to say hello or ask about a small job they need done. We do not have a fancy office or a place for people to sit and wait. Usually, customers just stand around the entrance and chat with us while we work. It is a simple life and we like being part of the local community. The heat can be a bit much in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day and try to get things out on time. It is not always perfect, but we put in the effort. That is just how things go for us here on this busy road.
