We are based at Door No-18/1 on the 2nd Cross in Sai Baba Nagar. This is part of the Sri Ram Puram area, which is a fairly quiet residential and small-business mix. Our engineering shop is easy to spot once you get onto the cross street. We’ve got some lathes and milling machines set up in the main area where we do most of our precision work. The space is a bit cramped because we’ve added more equipment over the years, so you have to watch your step when walking through. We mostly deal with small parts and custom engineering jobs that people bring in. Usually, there’s a pot of coffee going in the back and a couple of us standing around a machine trying to figure out a tricky measurement. We don’t really bother with big signs or fancy lighting. Most of our work comes from word of mouth around the neighborhood or from people who have known us for years. It gets a bit noisy during the day when the drills are going, but the neighbors don't seem to mind much. We like the local feel of Sai Baba Nagar and being able to walk to the shops nearby for lunch. It’s a steady pace of work here, and we just focus on getting the pieces right. Sometimes we have to redo a part, but that’s just the nature of engineering. It keeps us busy and the day goes by fast.
