You can find Sri Lakshmi Trading Company at No. 2/68 on Bangaru Naicken Street. We are just a short walk away from the main Mount Road. Even though the main road is very modern and fast, our street still feels a bit like the old city. The building we are in is quite old, with thick walls and high ceilings. It stays relatively cool inside, which is a relief during the hot months. We don't have any fancy displays or a showroom. Our space is filled with boxes, ledgers, and a couple of heavy wooden desks. It is a place meant for trading, not for looking pretty. We have been doing business here for a long time and know all the other traders on the street. We spend most of our day talking to people and checking our stock. The street is narrow, and sometimes the delivery carts block the way, but everyone is patient. We don't use much in the way of new technology. A simple phone and our record books are usually enough for us. It’s a very traditional way of working, and it suits us just fine. We open the doors early in the morning and stay until the work is finished. There’s no rush to change how we do things. We just provide a reliable presence on Bangaru Naicken Street, day in and day out.
