Sri Durga Driving School

Our office is at New No 4, Old No 1, in Sri Devi Garden. We are in Valasaravakkam, near the Singer Mono House. If you live around this part of Chennai, you know how the roads can be. We’ve been teaching people to drive in this neighborhood for quite some time. It’s a small operation. We have a few cars and a small room where we take care of the registration and license details. We spend most of our day out on the streets with students. Some people are really scared to start, especially with all the two-wheelers and autos buzzing around. We just sit next to them and tell them when to brake and when to shift. It takes patience. We’ve seen all kinds of learners, from young kids to people who are retired. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a local shop. We know the local traffic police and how the RTO works. Most of our students come to us because their friends or family learned here. We keep the cars as clean as we can, but with the Chennai dust, it’s a constant job. We just focus on getting people ready so they don’t fail their driving test. It’s a steady business and we like being part of the Valasaravakkam community. We keep the paperwork moving and the cars on the road as much as possible every day.
